“God never guides us at some time in the future, but always here and now.” ~Oswald Chambers (1874-1917)
God gives good guidance.
God’s instructions to me are plain. They protect. They profit. They produce goodness. It’s impossible for God’s guidance to produce anything but goodness because He is perfectly good.
God’s instructions aren’t difficult to understand. They aren’t hard to grasp. They aren’t even hard to follow – there’s just nothing in me that naturally wants to follow them.
My guidance is godless. When I choose to follow my crooked path rather than God’s straight one, confusion will be my friend. When I decide to do things my way instead of God’s, chaos will be my companion. Worry will chase after me every time I wander from the way God wants me to go.
My pride is what tricks me onto a crooked path. Ignorance leads me into traps along the way. Tricks and traps will always find me when I’m found not praying for God’s guidance.
God doesn’t need me to ‘figure things out’ in life. He’s already done that. God simply wants to guide me along His way. He expects me to follow His lead.
God’s way is wise. His road is right. And His path will always protect me from sin and Satan.
God’s guidance is good because He is good.
Attack Point: God’s guidance is good for you. Invest your time in knowing His Word!
