“An uninformed traveler on a bad road is a vivid image of a sinner walking in the slippery and dangerous ways of temptation.” ~Matthew Henry, 1706 (edited)
God guides all men – some to heaven, but many to hell.
God is always Right and Just. It’s not our place to reconcile the rightness of His decisions.
As a farmer’s combine separates beans from their shells then blows the shells away, so God separates the ungodly, then gets rid of them. While both the ‘bean’ and the ‘shell’ serve a purpose for a time, God forever saves only the ‘bean.’
God draws the godly to Himself, but drives the godless to hell. The godless serve God’s purpose until they’re no longer useful. God guides the godly to heaven. But the godless slip and slide toward hell.
As a godless man tricks and mistreats others, so his path to God’s judgment is littered with lies and paved with slimy stones. God causes his life to look like a fallen leaf blown by the wind in the dark. God will chase him around for a bit, and then to hell for eternity.
God sees to it that a godless man’s slide to hell is dark and dangerous – a hopeless and hazardous path to punishment. The man God guides to hell can’t keep his footing or his way. For God determines the way he chooses: God guides him in the way he wants to go.
Attack Point: Humbly ask God to make you a ‘bean,’ and not a ‘shell.’
