What a great reminder and it’s (now) obvious this has been consistent throughout His word to us! The very key point to me has always been that He sees my sins via my intent…whether I carried the sin to physical fruition. I think we all have the capacity to do tremendous evil under the right circumstances, only, as believers He observes through the blood of His Son, we have been cleansed and now have the ability to choose to not sin. Before Jesus’ sacrifice, that choice wasn’t truly there for us.
He is the only one able to do this. Praise God! Thank you.🙏
Hello, My Friend! You're right! There are deep lessons in these simple verses.
You know, I come upon verses as I go along in my exposition of Scripture that I would like to skip: the verses I think are too obvious, too simple, and am sure will be boring ... if not to me then surely to someone else!
But the Holy Spirit (and my training) never let me skip stuff. And you know what? I'm ALWAYS convicted and blessed by God when I don't! This study was really good for the author as well. He (I) needed to be reminded, too! 😉
It's always good to look again at the well-worn truths of Scripture.
What I had to ask myself after this study was this, "OK, you know it's true that God sees everything. But HOW IS THIS TRUTH GOING TO AFFECT THE WAY YOU LIVE TODAY?" That changed everything.
I'm glad I did the study. Hopefully, others will ask what I had to ask myself.
You set a great example (as God intended). Military training helps! I observed it during my 25 years as an AF civilian. Everyone thought I was retired military; wasn’t, but think like them. Love the military mind!
