thanks, brother; one of my favorite verses is Psalm 86:5, "For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in mercy to all who call upon You." So thankful!
This is a rich and humbling reminder, brother. At Mighty Oaks, where I serve, we work with veterans and first responders who often feel stuck—trying to muscle their way toward change without realizing, as you beautifully wrote, that only God can do the turning. Your words resonated deeply: we don’t make the first move—He does. It’s His mercy that floods our soul, His blood that overwhelms our sin, and His grace that keeps turning us back again and again. I’m grateful for your clear, gospel-saturated reflection. May we all continue to marvel at the God who turns us from death to life by the power of His Son.
We are truly 'cracked pots' whose only claim to 'right thinking' is AFTER we have accepted the finished work of Yeshua on Calvary's cross--when WE TURN away from our selfish, prideful ways and TURN TO the Good Shepherd who NEVER leads His sheep astray!
YES, I'm so very grateful God has given me the ability to turn to Him!
Like every other gospel truth, this one is filled with might and mystery: the God Who expects me to turn to Him must give the ability to turn. I'm grateful for His amazing grace!
Thank You for your note. I appreciate you!
And, I pray God's grace and peace for you as well. Thank You! ATK
Amazing that this powerful message runs unimpeded throughout God’s Word! He made all of these decisions and set everything in place for our salvation before He created us. What amazing gifts he’s provided for us, even though we chose wrong…he provided the remedy. Praise Him.🙏
I know my references lists get long (and time consuming!). But, to your first point, I'm constantly amazed at the kindness and consistency God employs in His messages to us. He's kind enough to give us what we need to know in His Word, and consistent enough to make sure we have NO excuse for not seeing it no matter what part His Word we read!
It's as elementary and elegant as His gift of salvation. What an amazing grace!
Thank You for your encouragement. I truly appreciate you! 😉

Hello, Pastor Drew! That's a good one as well! I thought about adding the entire 86th Psalm as a reference. David wrote so many good ones!
And yes, I'm grateful that God turns as well!
Thank You for your note. I appreciate you!
Thanks, Tony! Dianna and I appreciate and thank the Lord for you!!

Hi Robert!
You know, sometimes the best thing to answer a good note with is simply, "Amen."
So, Amen! 😉
Thank Your for note, and for all of your encouragement! ATK
Amen. Good word for me today.
Good Evening, Doc!
I get that. It's still a good word for me today. 😉
Thank You for your note!
